For the past decade, the mission of Cancer and Careers has been to empower and educate people with cancer to thrive in their workplace by providing expert advice, interactive tools and educational events. Cancer and Careers helps take some of the fear, anxiety and uncertainty out of the entire process – from diagnosis to decision making to successful treatment and beyond. It is an important organization that helps so many employees and employers cope with the realities of working with cancer.

It is almost impossible not to have a personal connection with this deadly disease from breast cancer, ovarian cancer, colorectal cancer, skin cancer and countless more. I have known so many women who have battled cancer while taking care of their families and running companies, and the decision making part is sometimes the hardest.
