Dallas is not only a 26-year-old self-taught artist, but she’s also the salon owner of Dallas Beauty Lounge, which has a waiting list of more than 80 people. She has been painting nails since she was 14 years old but didn’t get into the business of painting nails until she got to college. Now 8 years later, Dallas has built a beauty empire! Besides being the most talented in the area, Dallas is also the most sought-after, anybody who is somebody in the Pittsburgh area goes to Dallas Beauty Lounge. Dallas and her team take nail art very seriously, they want their clients to leave with custom art that reflects their personality, they are on the cutting-edge of trends and products.

Most days, I wake up to the New York Times alerts on my phone telling me that something else in the world has gone horribly wrong. Luckily for us, the hair and makeup looks at New York Fashion Week have not only been pretty and inspiring, but also soothingly consistent. People, it looks like the 70s and 80s are here to stay! Rivero has worked extensively with elite models including Dorota Kollova (Prada) and Arlenis Soso (Lancome) as well as celebrities such as Barbara Corcoran (Shark Tank) and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones).

My introduction to New York Fashion Week was at the gorge new Birchbox Local at Chelsea Market! The cool space, this year upgraded to two floors, was the perfect backdrop to all my beauty product-testing, -shopping, and -pampering needs, plus a custom candy bar with plenty of treats to nibble on.
