JANE IREDALE “MORE LIP” LIP PLUMPER – My experience with lip plumping products could be summed up with the phrase “no pain, no gain.” This is because immediately after applying said lip product, my lips would undergo a lingering burning sensation before appearing “plumped.” Yet, Jane Iredale’s “More Lip” Lip Plumper gave my lips results while leaving them feeling cool instead of burned. And even better, there are time release ingredients in this product. So, as one ingredient wears off, another kicks in to continue the plumping action.
FINAL VERDICT GGI (GOTTA GET IT) – For the price, this sweet lip plumper is a must. The plump lasts, and without the burning sensation that comes with most plumpers. There’s no reason to dread applying it.
PAULA DORF PERFECT ILLUSION FOR LIPS – This is intended to put an end to lipstick bleed. As with many lip plumpers, it contains paraffin wax that coats the fine lines and cracks. I didn’t see any plumping but it smoothed my lips adequately. For me, it just adds one more step to my beauty routine that didn’t have a big enough impact to justify doing it every time I put on lipstick. There is another formula in the PD range, PAULA DORF PERFECT ILLUSION FOR EYES, that is meant for smoothing crows feet and is applied all around the eyes. Having tried both of these, I was pretty underwhelmed by their performance. Both also contain emollients like sesame oil, aloe vera and some vitamin C but I wouldnt buy either of them again.
FINAL VERDICT – ICW (IT CAN WAIT) – $24 each, and the results are nothing dramatic. I tried the ROC COMPLETE LIFT EYE PEN and I was much more pleased with the effects for $18.
BARE ESCENTUALS BUXOM LIPS – I got this adorable kit of 4 Buxom glosses in a neat little box for my birthday – 17 yeah! All my friends know I love BE…..so they knew exactly what to get me. I have always wanted to try the Buxom line and these really work. They make your lips look HUGE! It also moisturizes with vitamins and antioxidants and other good stuff. My favorite shade is SUGAR – a sweet soft rosy pink that looks natural and adds some shimmer. I also got the Krystal one that didn’t come in the kit, which is a clear shine so you can use it over any lipgloss or lipstick, or on your bare lips to get the BUXOM effect. Now I am set to have totally gorgeous lips for a long time cause these last and last.
FINAL VERDICT – GGI (GOTTA GET IT) – These are $18 each, and tho you’re gonna wish you could buy all the new shades, start with one or drop some hints so somebody will get you the boxed set.
