At a press event at the Hearst building in New York City, the ultimate authority on all things wellness, the Global Wellness Institute and the Global Wellness Summit with Chairman and CEO Susie Ellis and a group of consummate experts, highlighted eight future trends in wellness, some of which are already here and thriving. They also debuted their Wellness Moonshot initiative – a bold call to action to eradicate chronic, preventable disease worldwide by uniting the health and wellness industries.

Sleep is crucial for giving your body (and your skin) a chance to rejuvenate and repair itself, and proper rest is just as important as a proper diet, regular exercise and being mindful about our overall health. Yet I’m continually amazed at the lack of value placed on this essential part of our lives. Very often, sleep is not prioritized, and most people are unaware of how to set the body up for a better night of rest.
