Jennifer McClure, Melach 33 founder, is a fearless traveler who has been almost everywhere . Yet no place captured her senses like the
Dead Sea, that has long been designated at a timeless location for renewal of the body and soul, which is where she discovered the many attributes of Dead Sea minerals.
Dead Sea minerals hold magical skin-softening and wrinkle-erasing abilities. The Dead Sea’s unique 33% salt content (a mind-blowing 10 times more than the saltiest ocean water) produces mineral-rich crystals—the same minerals that facilitate our body’s ability to regenerate cells and naturally detoxify.

AHAVA SECRET FOR YOU

I first discovered AHAVA products a few years ago, when I travelled with my family to Israel’s Dead Sea region. It was love at first use; never before had my skin felt so smooth for so long, or smelled so good. What makes AHAVA products so special are active Dead Sea minerals – renowned worldwide for seemingly magical healing properties. For my return trip, I bought as much as I could carry home, only to find, thankfully, that AHAVA products are available in America, too. Trust me: introduce your skin to the revitalizing effects of Dead Sea minerals with AHAVA body care. Here are a few of my favorites.
AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream ($21) is an absolute staple for me; it’s in my purse wherever I go. The scent, an intoxicating floral and earthy combination, is simply addictive. Plus, the cream contains extracts of witch hazel – a flowering plant known for its smoothing and revitalizing effect on skin – and allantoin, which heals cracked skin and minimizes blemishes. As a result, my skin stays smooth for ages with no need for re-application…however; sometimes I’ll re-apply more frequently than needed, just because I like the fragrance so much.
If you have very sensitive skin, or if your hands are really cracked and dry, try AHAVA Dermud Intensive Hand Cream ($28.50). Accompanied by yet another intoxicating fragrance, this cream contains actual mud from the Dead Sea region – it’s like having all the healing powers of the Dead Sea in your own personal container. Needless to say, this restorative cream leaves my hands smooth and fragrant for hours.

Since I’m not crazy about the peppermint scent of most foot creams, I feared my feet were doomed to eternal cracks and roughness…that is, until I tried AHAVA Mineral Foot Cream ($20). Because the cream contains Dead Sea minerals, natural plant derivatives, and tea tree oil, its scent is beautifully earthy and natural. After slathering up my tootsies and heels, my feet feel soft and nourished for hours. An added bonus is tea tree oil’s antibacterial and antifungal properties – great for the summer, when you’re walking around barefoot or in flip-flops all the time.
It might be man-made, but AHAVA Caressing Body Sorbet ($26) somehow makes me feel like I’m getting back to nature. This fabulous body lotion contains 21 essential minerals, natural anti-oxidants and vitamins, aloe vera, chamomile, and dunaliella algae (a plant indigenous to the Dead Sea region that’s loaded with beta-carotene). It leaves my skin feeling wonderfully smooth and non-greasy, and the beautiful, calming scents of mandarin and cedarwood tempt me to sniff, inconspicuously, of course, my arms and legs all day long.

Are you eager to bathe in the Dead Sea? Try the AHAVA Mineral Botanic line – a collection of seven scented body washes ($23 each). The Lotus & Chestnut Velvet Cream Wash, designed for sensitive skin, smells so delicious that I didn’t want my shower to end. Plus, the lotus flower milk contains antioxidants, and the chestnut milk is known for its moisturizing properties. AHAVA Mineral Botanic Cream Wash transformed my ordinary shower routine into an exotic spa experience, all within the comfort of my own home.
