Breast Cancer Awareness Month only comes around once each year, but the fight for a cure is year round, thanks to companies like Estee Lauder.
For as long as I can remember the Estee Lauder Family has been almost synonymous with Breast Cancer Awareness. Evelyn H. Lauder was a tireless crusader for this cause dating all the way back to 1992 when she created the iconic Pink Ribbon that is used around the world to stand for this life-saving cause. Her goal was to see the pink ribbon worn everywhere in the hope that it would keep the conversation about finding a cure for breast cancer top of mind.

Every magazine and its online sister present beauty awards these days. But the original, and by many accounts, the ultimate honor is the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Insiders’ Choice Beauty Awards. Now in its 20th year, the CEW Beauty Awards were announced last Friday at the traditionally lavish, yet oh so fun, luncheon held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
“When a shopper purchases a beauty product, she is looking for performance and value,” stated Carlotta Jacobson, president of CEW. “The CEW Beauty Awards seal helps consumer cut through the clutter so they can make an informed decision about the best products the industry has to offer.”
