Dermatologist Dr. Deanne Mraz Robinson of Modern Dermatology of Connecticut in WestportÂ shares the affects heat can have, and how to protect your skin this summer.
When we feel the sensation of heat on our skin, infrared-A (IRA) energy is to blame. â€œThe sun emits many wavelengths of light, and while UVA and UVB rays are the most talked about, they only account for roughly 5 percent of what reaches us from the sun. IRA is invisible, but it accounts for approximately 50 per
