Flowers bloom in the spring, but fragrance launches debut in the fall. Here are three that caught our attention for their attitude, allure and mystery.
Flower Tag by Kenzo
This is a totally contemporary and hip new take on Kenzo’s classic Flower scent. A fresh, sparkling and urbancomposition, this fragrance is inspired by the urban art of what else – tagging also known a grafitti. It’ young, it’s kicky and comes in a vibrant red bottle. Notes include rhubarb, blackcurrant, mandarin, peony, lily of the valley, jasmine, tea note, vanilla and musk. It’s priced at $65 for a 1.7 oz. eau de toilette and debuted last week on www.KenzoUSA.com before it hits Bloomingdale’s later this month.
Ange ou Démon Le Secret Elixir by Givenchy
Another update on an existing fragrance, this launch is a deeper, more sensual version of the original, plus it’s housed in a sleeker more modern bottle. The muse for Le Scret Elixir is Uma Thurman and the scent is meant to reveal a new mysterious facet of her as well as anyone who dares to wear it. A deeply sensual floral fragrance, its notes include Italian lemon, green tea, neroli, Sambac jasmine, orange blossom, frangipani flower, vanilla, patchouli, cedar wood and white musk. I particularly like the citrus top notes. Priced at $80.50 for a 1.7-oz, eau de parfum, Le Secret Elixir will launch in August at Macy’s, Dillard, Lord & Taylor and Sephora.
Fan di by Fendi
Masters of the chic bag, the House of Fendi is re-entering the fragrance world with this new warm floral scent. Inspired by Rome, Fan di encompasses the brand’s iconic style, shapes and materials, which manifest in the linked F design on the bottle. Its notes include pear blackcurrant accord, tangerine, pink peppercorn, Damascena rose, yellow jasmine, leather and patchouli. The 1.7-oz eau de parfum is priced at $76 and will launch in Saks Fifth Avenue on August 1.
