New York salon hails autumn with Pumpkin Spice Pedicure.
You’ll probably read this many times in the coming months: fall is my favorite season. I love the weather, clothes, food and smells, particularly the spices associated with pumpkin pie. So the new Pumpkin Spice Pedicure ($45) offered at Eve Salon in New York City’s West Village, was the perfect preparatory treat for my feet after a hot summer of exposed tootsies.
The visit starts out with a hot cup of spiced cider followed by a French Sugared Vanilla Mineral Salt Soak. The usual filing, pushing and snipping ensued to ready my digital canvas for the Pumpkin Glow Scrub – a satisfying, and aromatic rubdown composed of pumpkin ingredients. Next was the Warming Pumpkin Masque, a deep conditioning treatment for the legs and feet, amped up with heated booties. Finally, a French Sugared Vanilla Silk and Honey Lotion massage prepared my feet for the final glazing with a shade of my choice.
I give the whole experience a seasonal thumbs-up. Eve Salon also offers a Pumpkin Enzyme Facial ($ 140) to counteract the summer’s sun damage and hyperpigmentation.
