For the first time in the history of Pantone’s Color of the Year there are two colors! What you might call pastel pink and baby blue, are actually called Rose Quartz and Serenity. The powers that be at Pantone describe the colors as “inducing feelings of stability, constancy, comfort and relaxation,” something I think we can all use a little bit of right about now, especially in our extra-busy day to day lives and the turbulent world we’re living in.

Though you can expect the fashion, home decor and design industries to start rolling out products with these hues immediately, we’re happy to report they’re already in abundance in the beauty world. In fact, they happen to translate extremely well into the beauty world.

Whether you choose to wear them via color cosmetics or surround yourself in these soothing hues through beautiful packaging, we know you’ll want these beauties to color your world.

Sephora + Pantone Color of the Year Matte Lipstick in Serenity ($18) brings the attitude when worn alone but is actually very wearable when worn layered or mixed with other shades for an ombre effect or your own one-of-a-kind color. Ultra-thin pigments and a rich blend of emollient oils and waxes provides a beautiful, satin finish.

Christian Lauboutin Nail Colour The Nudes in Tres Decollette ($50) — a sheer cotton candy pink that’s highly pigmented with a super glossy finish — is contained in a  a faceted glass bottle featuring a calligraphy-inspired cap so the actual act of polishing your nails is made that much more special. Trust…this one is so worth the splurge.

Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Sky ($18.50), packaged in a gorgeous gold compact, is long-lasting, crease-free and formulated to smooth your eyes over time. Know that blue looks best on women with fair skin and cool-toned hair or women with very dark skin but a light wash of the shade could work for all. If you choose to go the blue route, pair with navy liner and keep the rest of your makeup on the neutral side.

KORRES Lip Butter in Jasmine ($12) has a flattering-for-all sheer pink color and a wonderful delicious buttery, caramel scent, plus lips are deeply moisturized and left smooth, soft and supple. Formulated with natural oils and extracts to soothe and condition, and shea butter and rice wax for long lasting hydration.

Smashbox Art. Love. Color. Pout Collection ($34) is a steal — it actually adds up to $84 when the products are purchased separately. You’ll love this collection for lips and cheeks featuring the brand’s bestsellers in a soft pink hue: Be Legendary Lip Gloss, Be Legendary Lipstick, Always Sharp Lip Liner, L.A. Lights Blendable Lip & Cheek Color.
