The New Lipstick Factor – Guerlain Rouge Automatique Rocks My World!
You know how a new lipstick can lift your spirits and renew your soul…well file this under “why didn’t I think of that?” If it is possible to be madly in love with a lipstick, I am guilty as charged. This luscious hydrating formula has one magnifique advantage – it is truly a one-handed wonder. The golden case has an art deco look with a flip top so you can open and close with one arm tied behind your back or more like one hand wrapped around your Blackberry. I give it an A+ for innovation, packaging design, pigment and texture. The colors are stunning – but you would expect that from Guerlain quality. I found it to glide on silky smooth with great staying power. I first chose Violette de Mad which is a neutral pink tone, and went back the next day to splurge on Misouko which has a touch of shimmer and shine. It was literally hard to choose my favorites. You cannot go wrong with this lipstick ladies. If you are a red lipstick lover, Habit Rouge is a sultry deep red with a slightly blue undertone that is perfect for evening to create defined bold lips that will get you noticed.
Guerlain Rouge Automatique will make you feel like a 1930s siren of the silver screen – “All right Mr De Mille, I’m ready for my close up…” At $35 per shade, it is certainly a luxury, but you only live once! Â sephora.com
