One of the things I hate most is when someone sees me and says: “Are you all right? You look tired.” That is basically code for “You look like hell.” It seems like it happens a lot, whether it’s because I didn’t sleep well the night before, or didn’t bother to put on eye makeup that day, or the lighting in the room just doesn’t flatter me. Frankly, it’s annoying and can ruin your whole day. So I have been looking for something that would make me look rested in the morning no matter what my sleeping patterns were like.

In the past week alone, I have not been sleeping well. So one night, I decided to try the new Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye. It comes in a very small bottle  but only requires a few drops around the eye area at night to be effective. I tried it one night before bed and, despite having barely slept, woke up still looking refreshed.

The very next night, I had a party with friends and knew I wouldn’t get much sleep. So after the party was over, I applied more of the Midnight Recovery Eye cream and woke up feeling awful (thanks to the onset of a cold) but looking rejuvenated, like I’d just returned from a relaxing vacation.

The following night, my cold had gotten worse, so I applied the cream again, and that’s how I realized that this is good stuff. Despite sickness and assuming I looked like death, no one could even tell how badly I was feeling! Instead of puffy, red eyes and dark circles, my face seemed to heal overnight thanks to the cream. Midnight Recovery Eye is paraben-free, sulfate-free, and fragrance-free and did not make my face greasy or itchy. I’m very thankful to have found it for those nights when I know that beauty sleep just isn’t gonna happen!

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye is at kiehls.com for $36.
