If you’re a social media maven and you’re ready to “Makeover Your Makeup Bag” for the current season, you’re just in time for some intensely interactive beauty shopping. Mark your calendars: jane iredale – THE SKIN CARE MAKEUP will launch the brand’s first Internet-based consumer contest on October 5th, to run through November 16th. The best part is, you don’t have to go far from the comfort of your home PC to get in on the action.

Contest entrants will be asked to submit either video, photo or blog entries discussing why they deserve to have a jane iredale makeup bag makeover. Entrants are also able to select various jane iredale products that they would want included in their ultimate makeup bag. Consumers will vote for their favorite entries to narrow down the top 25 and jane iredale representatives will then select one Grand Prize Winner. The winner will receive a paid trip for two to New York City, a makeup application with a jane iredale makeup artist and the products placed in their virtual makeup bag, up to $1,000.
A winner for the “Most Viral” contestant will also be awarded. This will be for the entrant whose submission spreads and reaches the most viewers and will be measured using viral maps. The winner will also receive the contents of their virtual makeup bag, up to $1,000.
Additionally, a six week contest will feature a Scavenger Hunt that will encourage consumers to visit the various jane iredale social media platforms to collect unique codes. Each week different codes will be placed within these platforms, one at each of the four specified locations, and consumers will enter them at the contest site. If they enter each code correctly the will be eligible to win a weekly prize.
