You may remember Julia Roberts’ faux pas on the red carpet a few years back and Demi’s shocking look for the movie GI Jane…these beautiful screen sirens, usually preened to perfection, disobeyed the fundamental laws of follicular propriety and the results were memorable! Put simply, we ladies are all on the same quest to get rid of unsightly hair where we don’t want it , and thicken, volumise – or ‘millionise’ it if you’re L’Oréal – in all those areas that you do want it!
Naturally, legs and lashes need very different treatment and at BITB we have scoured the beauty landscape for the latest and most effective ways to de-fuzz and promote growth in all the right places. The clever boffins at TRIA Beauty have recently launched a new version of the popular TRIA Laser Hair Removal System and it’s better and even cheaper than the previous model. You will no doubt have seen at-home laser systems flood the shops and setting this one aside from all the others, the TRIA laser is still the only FDA-cleared laser for permanent at-home hair removal. I have been using my TRIA religiously for over 6 weeks and have really noticed a difference in the hair growth on my legs and underarms. In the electrical stakes, my TRIA has overtaken my GHD hair straighteners for pride of place on my dressing table! Think about how much you spend on waxing each year and if you are anything like me, within 18 months you will have made your money back on the this gadget.
TRIA BEAUTY UK is kindly offering BITB UK subscribers the chance to win the new Laser Hair Removal System worth £575! Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to find out how to enter.
On to another minor miracle…every night for the past two months I have been applying a magical solution to my upper lash line in the hope that it will give me longer, thicker, fuller lashes so I can chuck out my mascara. It’s hard to be persistent when there’s little to show for your efforts but I was encouraged to keep going by the wonderful PR team for Revitalash. In recent weeks I can tell you that my lashes have definitely started to look longer than normal and I am going to keep applying it to see how long I can get them!
Revitalash is giving BITB UK subscribers the chance to win a tube, a £95 value, from the BITB Twitter and Facebook pages. Check them out.
If you can’t wait two months to get forehead-tickling lashes then try Jemma Kidd’s new Lash Xtension Mascara just launched on the shopping channel, QVC UK, priced at £16. It’s fabulous and the blackest black I have ever found!
If you start your treatments now, you will be smooth-legged with full, fluttering lashes by Autumn!
