Lady Gaga headlined Coachella 2017, and Sarah Tanno for Marc Jacobs Beauty gave her a “futuristic hippie” look using the brand’s products including marc jacobs beauty under(cover) perfecting coconut face primer, marc jacobs beauty glow stick glistening illuminator, marc jacobs beauty highliner gel eye crayon eyeliner in blacquer 42, marc jacobs beauty highliner matte gel eye crayon eyeliner in out of the blue 53, and a blend of lipstick including willful 248, a vibrant deep orchid shade. Tanno also added neon iridescent stickers in a few highlight points of her face for a futuristic festival vibe.

Yes, Coachella kicked off the season of music festivals but if you didn’t make it all is not lost, there are a number of other upcoming outdoor concerts to satisfy your love of music, discovering new artists, dancing like crazy, meeting new and interesting people and wearing super cool clothing,

Miami has Rolling Loud showcasing Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, and Future in May. The Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, AL has a roster that includes Mumford and Sons, Frank Ocean and Chance the Rapper. If June finds you near Somerset, England, check out the Glastonbury Festival for performances that include acts by Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Radiohead and Foo Fighters. And if you’re more of a one-concert-at-a-time kind of girl, there are also too-many-to-count outdoor concerts that allow you to get your groove on while enjoying the great outdoors which just might include the harsh sun, wind and rain.

HAIR: Braids, buns, and hair accessories are all the rage and help keep you looking at-the-ready. They also keep you in check if your hair tends to expand or deflate due to changing weather conditions. If you’d rather wear your hair loose, give it what it needs to look its best. Depending on your hair type, an anti-frizz treatment, salt spray or dry shampoo should do the trick.

SKIN & MAKEUP: When you’ve got little time or space for touchups less is more than more! After protecting yourself head to toe with sunscreen, give your face some added radiance with a tinted moisturizer or bronzer. Then, simply add a water resistant bright eye or lip, not both and a swipe of waterproof mascara. For the real minimalists, after applying your sun-kissed glow, slick on tinted SPF lip balm.

Bumble and bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil ($40) can be worked through damp or dry hair to nourish and protect against damage from heat styling and UV rays. It also defrizzes, detangles, and gives your hair a super shiny finish. This moisturizing oil blends lightweight Argan Oil, Coconut Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Safflower Seed Oil, and Grapeseed Oil.

Drybar Mai Tai Spritzer Salt Spray ($25) is safe for both color treated and keratin treated hair and gives you wonderful beauty waves, incredible volume and added texture. For volume, simply apply to damp hair before blow drying. For added texture, just spray directly into dry hair. Besides sea salt, the formula also include algae to protect and strengthen and aloe for added moisture.

Rahua Voluminous Dry Shampoo ($32) will help you refresh your style by absorbing dirt, oil, and sweat, while infusing your hair with a light, clean scent. Formulated with superstars Cassava, Cosmetic Clay and Star Anise for their antiseptic properties, fresh scent and ability to absorb water, oil, sweat, and debris. To use, spray onto your roots and scalp and work it into the hair. This product can also be used to add fullness at the roots or add easy grip for styling.

Algenist Repairing Tint & Radiance Moisturizer SPF 30 ($42) comes in 3 shades, light, light/medium and tan. Use it to reduce imperfections like uneven skin tone and texture and fine lines, hydrate, condition, boost radiance and firmness, all while protecting against sun damage.

Brush on Block ($32) makes reapplying your sunscreen a no-brainer. It is a dry, powdered, mineral-based sunscreen that comes in Translucent and Touch of Tan shades, and works well for all skin types. It’s portable, non-greasy, sweat and water resistant for up to 80 minutes and easy-to apply anywhere, even on the prone-to-burn scalp area.

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner ($21) glides on like a dream and lasts a long, long time. This waterproof pencil stays put until you take it off. Use it to line eyes or gently smudge for a shadow finish. It’s available in 20 matte, metallic and iridescent shades including some faves like metallic bronze, iridescent blue with green sparkles, matte plum and diamond black.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 ($24) softens, soothes, protects and keeps lips moisturized for hours on end. It blends Sugar to prevent moisture loss, Meadowfoam and Black Currant Seed Oils to hydrate, Grape Seed Oil for antioxidant protection and to smooth and soften. It’s available in clear and tinted format. My favorite? Poppy, a sheer pink red.

NOTE: Fresh Sugar products were sent for review. All others were tested in store. Opinions are my own.
