GORGEOUS GIVEAWAY: PRESCRIPTIVES CUSTOM BLEND FOUNDATION

03-24-14 | Posted by

For this week’s Gorgeous Giveaways, Prescriptives is sharing with Beauty in the Bag readers its hero product, Prescriptives Custom Blend Foundation (a $75 value). This is a customized foundation that is made especially for you after a video chat with an online beauty advisor.

You will be given a Beauty Print, the combination of colors that compose your individualized foundation, which takes into consideration your undertones, often missed in pre-blended foundation or powder. After your online consultation, you will receive a recipe that can be refilled whenever you run out.

In addition to the shade, you can customize coverage, texture, and special benefits.

Coverage: sheer, medium, or full.

Texture: Regular, oil control, or extra hydration.

Skincare Options: Lifting or brightening ingredients.

To get a better idea of your Beauty Print, check out the Beauty Print Match Game on the Prescriptives Facebook page. Don’t forget to like the page, and send a tweet to @Prescriptives to let them know what you think of the process. My biggest challenge in finding the perfect foundation shade is that while my skin tone is very light (almost fair), it’s not porcelain. Many of the lightest foundation shades are for porcelain skin tone and pinkish in undertone. If I purchase the next shade option, it may be the correct undertone but is usually too dark.

  2. jadamcikova Says:

It’s always hard to pick the correct overall shade to blend with my skin and hide any hyperpigmentation. I also want coverage but I don’t want to look or feel like I am wearing a mask, especially in the summer months. The texture and the shade are both important.

  3. lizc Says:

My biggest challenge seems to be finding a shade that matches but also doesn’t dry out my skin or worse, go on and give me a flaky skin look!

  4. nonstpcute Says:

Its kind of fun……but my biggest challenge is not going too dark…..I think my skin is lighter than I would like.

  5. jmiranda181 Says:

i tan very easily so my shade can change very quickly!

  6. KAREN COGBURN Says:

I can never match my entire face and neck

  7. windycindy Says:

Hi, It is difficult for me to find a good foundation, that
isn’t too heavy! I have a port wine birthmark on the left
side of my face, that requires full coverage, but I don’t
like it when my face foundations looks too dry or heavy!
    Many thanks, Cindi

My biggest challenge is finding a foundation that matches my super pale skin. Everything is too orange or yellow. Prescriptives custom blend would be amazing and flattering…letting me look and feel beautiful!

  9. collifornia Says:

I tan sometimes so my shade changes.

  10. Greisy Wardsworth Says:

my biggest challenge is not completely cover my freckles
    thanks for the chance

  11. illyjunus Says:

my biggest challenge is to find the right shade of foundation and have the right cover that i want

  12. martinam1952 Says:

Finding a foundation thats not too heavy, i like it to look natural and not cakey,Ty for the chance to win!

  13. gabriela Says:

My biggest challenge would be to find the foundation that would not make me look caky.

  14. GQ Says:

its difficult for me to cover open pores,my current foundation dont even hide my open pores, i also apply primer before applying foundation but open pores still shows on my face 🙁

  15. Antonina Gladkova Says:

its always tough for me ! i have to try around 10 different shades before purchase of foundation!

  16. boofa29 Says:

I look for full coverage but something that will keep me matte and also not excentuate my dry spots. I have combo skin with dry spots near my mouth that annoy me big time and they’re very hard to keep moisturized.. I also have a pink undertone but have been noticing that some foundations look to pink on me, so I’ve been opting for neutral toned foundations. Not really having great luck in finding my perfect foundation.

  17. BlackAsphodel Says:

I’m very pale and most foundations aren’t light enough for me.

  18. Beatrice020710 Says:

Like many, I would say the biggest challenge is finding the correct shade as well. I always end up having to mix 2 shades to get that more correct shade for me. I would LOOOVVVEE to finally find something that is that PERFECT match and mathces with my skin care. I have regular skin and its not sensitive so I dont struggle with that. Bit the shade is almost impossible to find on its own. I hope im one of the lucky winners!:) also I would love to try this brand, as I’ve never have, and it seems awesome from all the reviews I’ve read.

  19. teresaredden Says:

Having fair skin with some redness that needs concealed is very difficult. Most foundations cause clogged pores if left on all day. I feel like I am the only one in the world with this shade of skin!

  20. Maria J. Says:

I struggle with my finding my foundation because I might get something that is close to my neck instead of my face and for some reason it always oxidizes on me. I also have to mix 2 colors to get the perfect color and I always run out of one before the other, so I feel buying 2 foundation colors is kind of a waste of money, so the struggle is real!

  21. Felita1 Says:

My biggest challenge is finding the right shade to match my skintone. Also, making sure that my foundation looks natural. I have large pores and combination skin so I want a foundation that will help with that and also make sure that my skin stays healthy.

  22. Kat Says:

Often I think a foundation makes my skin look too pastey.

  23. meenatangy Says:

Since I am south Asian it is rare to find brands with shades that match my olive skin tone. On top of that, having combination skin makes it harder to find makeup that suits the dry spots or oily spots. I break out near my mouth and on my cheeks and scarring makes coverage uneven too. I wish I could find the perfect coverage that addresses all my needs: coverage, combo skin and correct color.

  24. amylynnwells Says:

I feel my make-up is always a little too dark and never that natural looking. I have a light olive skin tone and always want to cover acne scars or color unevenness.

  25. Eustacia Says:

My biggest challenge is finding the correct shade. It seems like every time I want to try a new product I have to buy 2 or 3 to find a shade that matches.

  26. jennsmar Says:

Finding a shade that will cover up the redness on my face.

  27. helobuff Says:

My biggest challenge in finding a shade that works for me. It looks ok in the store but when you put it on it doesn’t work. It’s either too light or too dark. Finding a match is very hard!

  28. lindabr100 Says:

I always end up with a shade thats to dark

  29. latanya t Says:

My challenge is finding a foundation for my dark skin and that is oil free/matte that actually keeps my skin from looking oily

  30. savefor4 Says:

I can never find a shade that works for mr. Either too dark or too light. Women are the largest consumers of makeup & yet we still have to buy 2 products to mix & match to hopefully get the right shade. Waste of money. The cosmetics industry has come a long way & yet they still cannot get it right! So sad, therefore, I just don’t go out & have become a hermit. It would be nice to LIVE LIFE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

  31. ExtraExtravagant Says:

The biggest challenge for me in finding the perfect foundation shade is having to buy more than one shade. My skin tone is so dependent on the season; I feel like I have four different skin tones throughout the year.
