According to a study published in the September 2012 issue of the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, a good nights’ sleep may be all you need to reduce your wrinkles.     I never consume caffeine after after 4pm and have a nice relaxing shower before bed, always keep my room dark no night light and I turn down the thermostat at night I sleep like a baby with in a cool room. 🙂

    Usually a nice bath or shower prior to a warm glass of soy or coconut milk. I cleanse and moisturize my face, read a fave book or magazine for about 20 minutes in bed. I have room darkening curtains, because I love it darker than dark. Then it’s off to sleep.

    After brushing my teeth, washing my face & applying my skincare regime, I always take an aromatherapy scented lotion and massage it to my hands and feet. It feels good and smells so soothing and helps me unwind to get a peaceful night of sleep.

    my favorite routine is chamomile tea along with a foot massage before bedtime. Also, a warm shower followed by a yummy treat like crackers and cheese gets me all relaxed and mellow

    My favorite bedtime routine consists of me relaxing in a steaming hot bubble bath while I have an exfoliating mask on my face. After the bath I wash of my mask, use my nightime eye cream and facecream, drink a chamomile decaffinated tea, and lay in bed listening to nature music until I fall asleep.     I brush my teeth, then use my favorite soap for my face( not advertising so i wont name names)then i get into the shower and wash from the top of my head to the soles of my feet-co washing every night is heavenly. then i use my favortie body oil and lotion for extra skin moisturizing say a prayer to thank God for making it through the day and then Rest easy.

    There are all sorts of things we each do every night that we HAVE to do or MUST do or at least have convinced ourselves that’s the case. With kids or pets, there are those bits. We’ve got makeup and laundry and food and cleaning and preparing for the next day and bathing and all the everyday bits of routine that keep us from falling apart. And those can be soothing and wonderful and cathartic and awful and stressful and are all parts of the tornadoes that are our lives. But the best? The favorite? My favorite bedtime ritual, my favorite evening, the best, oh, say, two hours before sleeping I could have would involve a cool night with the windows open (screens, of course, no bugs) and a light breeze. There would be a nice mellow pinot noir and the man I love. I would eschew taking off my mascara for listening to something sexy and slow, maybe old and typical Coltrane or newer, more funky Ali Farka Toure. We would skip taking out the trash and doing the dishes to do our own slow dance, the one we know so well, together, where we always get all the steps right, together. We would breathe in that cool air, heavy as it sets down the night, and drift off into the sweetness of sleep.

    I cleans my face, wait 30 minutes and put on my Retin A. Then I try to read THE GUIDE POST for some good feelings and hope. Then I climb into bed. I leave my door open so I can if anyone needs anything. Although my sons are 18 and 19, habits are hard to give up. I hear the sounds of the house and very gently drop off to sleep.
