This week’s GORGEOUS GIVEAWAY comes straight from Las Vegas. We are giving away one Battle of the Strands Celebrity Gift Bag (a $250 value), which was distributed at the Battle of the Strands hair competition held in Las Vegas on October 2, 2011. The gift bag features hair products, fat-fighting chocolates and even an Anand Bhatt CD. The purpose of the show was to promote the Las Vegas beauty industry and highlight its thriving salon industry and talented and respected artists. Five salons competed in the show creating looks that fit the evening’s theme: Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.

The Kim Vo Salon at the Mirage Casino took home the top honor receiving the award for Top Salon of Las Vegas. The other key winners included the Salon at Trump featuring Eli Sabat, which won for best hair, and the Walk in Salon of Robert Cromeans at Mandalay Bay, which was awarded the People’s Choice prize.

Experience a bit of the excitement yourself with the gift bag, which features

Secondly, the active ingredient acts as a fat obstructor that impedes the breakdown and release of fat and carbohydrates from the food you eat to help reduce absorption by your body. www.myslimmies.com

Anand Bhatt CD: As a major Rock Star and TV/Movie personality, Anand Bhatt is known for his GRAMMY recognized music as both a solo artist and as front man for the hardcore band Anand Clique. www.sonicwaveintl.certaire.com/anand/

since I just got back last night from celebrating my 22nd wedding anniversary in Vegas, I can tell you I love all the scenery the best. The hotels are so pretty on the outside…we would just walk and watch all the shows..the volcano at the Mirage, the water show and the Sirens at Treasure Island..It was our first time going and we will return…

  2. MizCindyHead Says:

I haven’t ever been to Vegas unfortunately, maybe someday. But it’d be awesome to go to some of the shows and restaurants and do a little gambling there. Hey maybe someday you’ll do a trip contest somewhere, that’d be cool.

  3. AngieD Says:

Las Vegas is really the spot of endless possibilities. You can relax or indulge in all that is exciting!!

  4. babykbearz Says:

Ahh, Vegas! :o) During the day it is a wonderful place to spend seeing all the awesome buildings, casinos and it’s collage of tourists walking around and by night it is, with all its lights against the nights sky, just like Christmas all year long. They call it Sin City, but how can you really call something so beautiful to see a Sin! :o)

  5. Not2Haute Says:

I like the resorts, gambling and buffets in Las Vegas. But, I don’t like the crime. I guess, bright lights attract trouble.

  6. tkhalliday Says:

I’ve never been to Vegas, but I would assume that like other casinos near me, it’s easy to drop a lot more than you intended via shopping, dining, and gambling!

  7. chrystal Says:

i’ve been to vegas quite a few times, my sister and i used to go down there (it’s not too far a drive from salt lake city!) all the time for concerts.
and there really isnt anything i like about las vegas! the streets are filthy, the whole town is kind of a dump!

  8. Sheppe14 Says:

I like that in Vegas anything can happen and will happen. The vibe, the people and the nightlife add something magical to the air. Vegas has a life all its own!

  9. heather_bolan Says:

I love all things Las Vegas! I’ve been twice, married once while there even. But, I digress…I still haven’t seen everything I have wanted to see in Las Vegas, there is so much to do and the fast pace makes even walking down the street exciting. The Forum Shops are on my must-go-to list as well as an entire evening spent on Fremont Street and a trip to what used to be the Bay City Diner at the Golden Gate (I think it’s Du-Pars now)for some good ol’ comfort food. What’s not to like about Vegas? 🙂

  10. JulieAnnUtahCosmo Says:

I lived in Las Vegas for two years. The more I was there the more I found out how much there is to do there and how the city is constantly evolving. I love how you can see so much variety in so little of an area. I also love how you can go outside the city and the strip and go hiking and skiing and swimming. Its just an amazing place to visit or live.

  11. Maria Says:

I have never been to Vegas, would love to go. See all the arts, take a tour. Try my luck at the casino, see Elvis. Like the saying says “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”

  12. Lin82 Says:

I really enjoy the food in Las Vegas, the shopping, and the hotels. It’s pretty interesting to know that without all that glitz and glamor, Las Vegas is just a vast desert.

  13. evrywoman Says:

I love the shopping and dining in Vegas!

  14. nilav2 Says:

I love to take the Paris Casino Eiffel Tower ride and watch the Fountains at Bellagio. It is the most romantic and wonderful sight in Las vegas. I also fell in love with the Conservatory at Bellagio.

  15. meandbella Says:

i love all the pretty lights, although i’ve never BEEN to vegas! I SO need to go!

  26. norell9694 Says:

    Love the night life!!

  27. Lindsay Says:

I <3 Las Vegas because nightlife is unreal compared to NYC. There's always an elite party & it's relaxed during the day. It's a great spot to get away from stress or for an adventure. Plus it reminds me of the movie "The Hangover" =P

  28. vivaciousgold Says:

I like the chance of meeting a lot of celebrities!

  29. Emmybear411 Says:

    Love the malls there<3!!!

  30. sesquius Says:

Las Vegas is a great place to visit, not necessarily a place I’d want to live. The strip is where the action is, outside of it it’s a regular city. @Beautyinthebag
