From Lincoln Center to midtown, New York City is abuzz with Fashion Week Spring 2012, running from September 8 to September 15. Along with the fabulous fashions that we will be seeing this spring, beauty takes center stage at the runway shows. Here is a glimpse of some of the beauty looks making their way down the walks and platforms of the shows.

Hourglass Cosmetics at Imitation of Christ

Held at the W Hotel at Union Square in NYC, the Imitation of Christ show was a perfect imitation of a super-chic wedding party, orchestrated like a lighthearted walk down the aisle. Hourglass Artistic Director Gina Brooke enhanced the romantic and playful mood with flawless skin, vivid eyes and pale lips. Gina used the brand’s Primer Serum to create a moisturized canvas for the rest of the makeup.

Maybelline at BCBGMAXAZRIA

For the beauty look at the BCBGMAXAZRIA Show, Charlotte Willer, Maybelline New York global makeup artist, drew inspiration from the image of a woman who just stepped out of the shower after a long healthy workout. Fresh radiant skin was the star with a touch of lip balm to the eyelids for a healthy glow. Charlotte used Baby Lips Lip Balm in Quenched for lips and eyelids.

Maybelline at Wes Gordon

At the Wes Gordon show, Charlotte Willer created a beauty look summed up in three words: fresh, young and elegant. She featured dewy skin, a strong brow and lip pops with a sheer wash of color. Maybelline’s Fit Me! Foundation allowed her to create the perfect dewy complexion.

NARS at Honor

Designer Giovanna Randall describes her collection as girly and ultra feminine, but with something “slightly off.” James Boehmer, NARS director of global artistry, drew inspiration from Penelope Tree and Catherine Deneuve, drawing on messy looking eyelashes with lots of mascara – but with everything else perfect including porcelain skin and bitten looking lips. He used Larger than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Santa Monica Boulevard and Rue Bonaparte to get the eyelash look just right.
