PETER THOMAS ROTH POTENT BOTANICAL SKIN BRIGHTENING COMPLEX – A gel containing mulberry extract, bearberry extract, vitamin C, kojic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid and azelaic acid, but it is hydroquinone free, thus the labeling “brightening.” With all these ingredients, it should be pretty potent, but it didn’t do that much for my brown patches. This product has a similar formula to DDF Fade Gel 4, but I found that DDF worked better on my skin for just about the same price. The DDF silver cylinder pump was also more elegant than this one. Without Hydroquinone you can’t expect miracles from any of these products, and if you get any sun at all, the discoloration will come back. If your skin is tough enough for serious bleaching, HQ is the way to go but you’ll need a prescription for anything over 2%.
FINAL VERDICT – ICW (IT CAN WAIT) – Not exciting and doesn’t deliver major results, at least it didn’t for me.
