The lash category is exploding and beauty editor fave Hourglass Cosmetics is poised to makes its mark with the new Film Noir Lash Lacquer ($28). An ultra-gloss, inky black top coat for lashes that creates, length, volume and shine, Lash Lacquer is formulated to deliver the coveted effect of false eyelashes without the application difficulty or comfort issues.
It’s designed to be teamed with Hourglass’s Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara for full effect. Simply brush on Lash Lacquer after applying mascara to get long spikey, deep black lashes. It really does banish all signs of wimpy or pale lashes. For best results, always apply Lash Lacquer over mascara but don’t use with thickening, tubing or heavy mascaras, explains Gina Brooke, Artistic Director of Hourglass. A celebrity makeup artist, Gina has already used Lash Lacquer on the likes of Anne Hathaway and Madonna!
Lash Lacquer and mascara are designed to be removed with cleanser and water or eye makeup remover. But take note, this is a deeply pigmented product and definitely takes a few swipes to remove.
Lash Lacquer will be available exclusively at Sephora beginning July 15, and at Sephora.com on July 7.
Continuing the focus on eyes, Hourglass will launch Vol. 6 Face Palette-Neo Classic ($58), simply the best collection of eye shadows in one compact that I’ve ever encountered. Housed in the brand’s signature 360 swivel compact, the palette features six universally flattering shades. The lineup includes two light base colors – one matte and one shimmering – a matte tea rose and three matte contour shades in brown, navy and the deepest black.
Vol. 6 Face Palette Neo-Classic will launch in August exclusively at Barneys New York stores.
