HOW TO WEAR THE SPRING’S BRIGHTEST MAKEUP
Want to have a little fun with your makeup? Bold colors are trending. You’ll stand out from the crowd for all the right reasons and look modern while you are at it by wearing just one “notice-me” shade at a time. You can choose to play up your eyes or your lips (not both!) with a bright, opaque, captivating color in shades of blue, green, yellow, orange or purple for your eyes and red, fuchsia, hot pink, orange or purple for your lips. To make the right statement steer clear of pastels which won’t have the same impact and keep the rest of your makeup extremely minimal.
TO PLAY UP YOUR EYES: Use cream shadow and a makeup brush or opt for liquid liner and get graphic. Wing out the corners of your eyes, color in your entire lid, or get creative with stripes, stars or a design of your own making. Skip the mascara keeping your lashes bare and slick a nude or clear balm on lips for just a hint of sheen.
TO HIGHLIGHT YOUR LIPS: Use tinted moisturizer on your complexion to subtly even out your skin tone. Then outline the shape of your mouth using lipliner that closely matches your lipstick. If you’d like your lips to appear larger, draw slightly outside the mouth. Choose a bold-hued, highly-pigmented lipstick and apply directly to your mouth from the tube or with a makeup brush for a more precise application. Lightly blot with a tissue and finish with one more coat of lipstick.
