DOWNTOWN BEAUTY FIND ON THE 1 TRAIN!

CHANTECAILLE CONCEALER & FOUNDATION STICK – As any New Yorker will attest, people tend to make the subway their own personal grooming place, particularly those busy career women who didn’t have time to primp before work or between meetings. I happened to notice one such woman with a flawless complexion applying undereye concealer and could not help but stare. What was that fabulous silver-tubed contraption she was using? I had to ask (in accordance with my general MO with strangers, to inquire about and/or compliment any particularly interesting fashion or beauty statement). I have previously associated Chantecaille with “totally off budget” but when I saw how smoothly the formula went on and how flawlessly the color matched her skin tone, I decided to stray from my Clinique and invest in a little beauty indulgence. I raced to Bergdorf’s on my lunch hour, and I’m very happy with my new toy. It’s just the right middle-ground consistency for delicate undereye and elsewhere on the face, and packs in Vitamins C, E, and SPF 8!
FINAL VERDICT – GGI (GOTTA GET IT) Change is a beautiful thing! If the $42 price tag doesn’t intimidate you, try Chantecaille’s Bio Lift Concealer, which retails for $65.
