Clinique Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Powder

Ew! Why would I want to put yellow powder on my face? Guess again! This yellow mineral powder is a combination of caffeine and magnolia bark, mushroom and grapefruit peel extracts, and promises to calm red and irritated skin. I tend to get really red if I wash my face too often or too severely, so this powder is great for covering up that sunburned look instead of piling on layers of foundation. Though the powder comes with a retractable brush, I don’t use it because the bristles tend to be too rough for my sensitive skin. Instead, I use a buffing brush to smooth on this fine mineral powder and voila, farewell redness! It’s also good to use after peels and anti-acne products like benzoyl peroxide that also make you red.

FINAL VERDICT: GGI (GOTTA GET IT) – This powder costs about $33 which is not cheap, but it’s a gotta get it if you really need it. It’s a great powder to invest in for anyone with rosacea or sensitive skin, and maybe if you tend to get experiencing temporary redness (like a sunburn or a skin reaction).
