We asked Mad Men’s Makeup Artist Lana Horochowski, for her step by step and product picks to help you recreate your favorite Mad Men look and get in touch with your inner Betty, Joan or Peggy. Here, her how–tos:
BETTY
For a flawless complexion use a foundation such as BY TERRY Light Expert Perfector. I like to apply foundation with a brush and then blend with a damp Beauty Blender. For the heavier eye in this look, I used Kevyn Aucoin Snow/Coal Dual Eyeshadow, but the Benefit Cosmetics Smokin’ Eyes Palette is great as well. Then use a liquid liner like Smashbox Limitless Liquid Liner Pen to create a cat eye. Start with a thin line in the inner eye and gradually bring it out, letting the liner get a little thicker towards the outer eye. Fill in brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade to fill in the brow. Finish off the look with a nude lip using Besame Lipstick in Debutante Pink.

JOAN
To achieve this look, start by applying BY TERRY Cellularose Blush Glace to the apples of the cheeks and blend with a Beauty Blender to create a “peaches and cream” complexion. Then use a liquid liner, like Eyeko’s, on the upper lid to create the cat eye. Fill in and accentuate the brow with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and finish off the look with a pouty lip using Laura Mercier Sheer Lip Colour in Baby Lips.

PEGGY
Peggy Her look is a very sheer, no makeup look. Start by applying Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer all over the face. Lightly dust cheeks with Cargo Swimmables Water Resistant Blush in Soft Tangerine to add little color. Paint the top lashes with Benefit Roller Lash. Complete the look with Benefit Posietint on lips followed by lip balm to soften the look.
