What’s more patriotic than wearing stylish red, white, and blue makeup on the 4th of July? Of course, we’re not suggesting that you resemble Uncle Sam or get tacky, but there’s a way to pull off a sense of elegance while celebrating the colors of the stars and stripes. Here are a few beauty finds that we love and are patriotic without being wacky.

Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat Nail Polish in Tight Knit ($6.99)

Relax, your nails are not going to turn into a pet from The Muppet Show. But Sally Hansen’s new Fuzzy Coat nail polish is a super fun way to put some pizzazz into your nail polish routine. Tight Knit is a fun option that paints your nails with blue and white flecks.

Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Peace and Radium ($18)

Urban Decay’s eye shadows are some of our absolute favorites because of their staying power. The company’s new Pigment Infusion System helps the shadows sparkle and stay put on your lids, without crumbling or falling off. Peace is a beautiful bright turquoise shimmer eyeshadow, and Radium is a peacock blue shimmer. Both are excellent for a glamorous, patriotic night about town.

Peter  Thomas Roth Laser-Free Regenerator Moisturizing Gel-Cream ($68)

This pinkish-red gel cream is something skincare dreams are made of: it’s all about bringing laser-like results into your home. It is designed to moisturize, calm, and firm the skin in addition to reducing wrinkles. The formula contains Dragon’s blood, which is a red resin drawn from an Amazonian tree that gives the gel its signature color. It also contains extracts of dragon fruit, red poppy, fire tulip, Japanese cherry, and purple orchid. What I love about this gel is its texture and extreme hydration benefits, as well as a cooling effect that is perfect for summer months.

Lacoste Rouge, Blanc et Bleu Fragrances ($65 each)

Inspired by the iconic L.12.12 shirt designed by tennis legend Rene Lacoste, these red, white, and blue fragrances are part of the Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 collection. The Rouge fragrance features notes of iced red tea, spicy mandarin liquor, and juicy mango, as well as pepper and cardamom. In short, it’s chock-fizz full of energy! The Blanc edition is fresh and woody, with notes of tuberose, ylang ylang, and olibanum. The Bleu version, the most refreshing of the three scents, contains citrusy grapefruit, peppermint, and watery fruits.  The icing on the cake is the Lacoste bottle that looks like the iconic polo shirt, including the exact positioning of the alligator on each bottle. The result is chic perfection, and very apropos for the 4th of July!

Josie Maran Love Your Lips Hydrating Lipstick in Spirited Red ($22)

This lipstick should be in every woman’s purse because it does the impossible: hydrates, gives a glowing shine, and provides long-lasting color. The three-in-one lipstick has an innovative applicator and also functions as a beautifully emollient balm. It contains pure argan oil, naturally!

Finesse All Day Fresh Haircare ($3.99)

Let’s not forget those locks on the 4th of July. Finesse’s latest haircare shampoo/conditioner duo takes away all the odor from your hair, so all you’re left with is that nice, clean good old American feeling. It’s scented with a light fragrance that’s not cloying at all, and the price point is hard to beat. But isn’t being American all about shopping for value these days?
