Good to Eat and Good for Your Skin,  Strawberries Add Yummy Benefits to Beauty Treatments.

Strawberries and whipped cream anyone? A symbol of lust and sensuality, this yummy smelling fruit is one of the world’s healthiest foods due to its concentration in vitamin C, minerals, folic acid, omega 3 acids and powerful antioxidants. It’s also a widely used ingredient in artisanal and mainstream cosmetics. Life is sweet… indulge in these six favorite strawberry-inspired products!

Philosophy 3-in-1 Ultra Rich Shampoo, Bubble Bath & Body Wash in Strawberry Milkshake – $16 on Drugstore.com

It there anything more appetizing and comforting than the thought of an old-fashioned, killer strawberry milkshake? I don’t think so – and that’s exactly what this triple duty product smells like. A fantastic shower ally when you are in a hurry to go out on a cozy movie date or even out on the town. So rich and creamy,  you could basically skip the lotion before you put on your clothes.

Tess Go Undercover Face Mask – $15 at EssentialDaySpa.com

When I was a teenager, my grandmother used to prepare luscious face masks from chopped strawberries, sour cream and rose water to help treat and repair my skin from breakouts. Rich in salicylic acid, an ingredient found in many commercial acne creams, strawberries are in fact really great to balance combination skin. Made with natural fruit and botanical extracts, essential oils and vitamins, this soothing mask is gentle, so yummy you could eat it, and ideal to use overnight on the first day of your period.

Dylan’s Candy Bar Strawberry Liquorice Collection – $16-$22 on Sephora.com

Strawberry licorice, another classic yummy treat for children of all ages! This range of goodies by Dylan’s Candy Bar reveal the red fruit’s most heavenly scent, for a super sweet shower experience!

Carmex Strawberry Tube: $1.59 on Drugstore.com

Did you know that eating fresh strawberries helps loosen plaque and whiten teeth, while keeping your breath fresh? I’m hooked on the sweet strawberry flavor of this new Carmex lip balm. Better yet, it contains germ-killing menthol and phenol to heal chapped lips as well as sunscreen agents for protection.

Fresh Sugar Face Polish: $55 on Sephora

I like to use this product as a mask treatment rather than just a scrub. It features wild strawberries delivering antioxidant-rich vitamin C to protect and heal skin. Rub in for a few seconds to clean away all dead cells and then leave on the skin for up to ten minutes to allow the fruit acids to exfoliate. It really gives my skin a healthy glow.

Miss Dior Chérie L’Eau – $82 on Ulta.com

Remember the super sweet strawberry top notes of the Miss Dior Cherie fragrance? Although I loved it at first, after wearing it for a few weeks it started giving me the worst headaches. L’Eau is just as lighthearted and energetic of a scent as the original but thankfully, half as sweet and much more refreshing.

LUSH Strawberry Feels Forever Massage Bar: $9.95 on LushUSA.com

This is by far my favorite pick from this roundup. Although I must say it takes a bit of time getting used to a solid massage bar versus a lotion, once you get the twist you will love this one. LUSH’s Strawberry Feels Forever is made with crushed strawberries and an infusion of hibiscus flowers, as well as cocoa and shea butters and coconut, bergamot and geranium oil. Perfect for a winter’s girls night in (I am from way up North so I know what I’m talking about!), it will deliciously moisturize dry, chapped skin.
