A FRAGRANCE OF ITS OWN
In its ever growing lineup of fragrances inspired by the neighborhoods of New York City, Bond No. 9 now turns its artistic attention to Central Park West. The current and former home to celebrities like Madonna, John Lennon, Robert De Niro and Harrison Ford, Central Park West is one of the most grand and architecturally cohesive avenues in Manhattan. Plus it sits right on the western edge of Manhattan’s largest and most famous grassy area – Central Park.
Central Park West, the fragrance, pays homage to the elegant thoroughfare with it sumptuous and palatial buildings like the Dakota, current home to Lauren Bacall and Yoko Ono. Launching just in time for spring, the scent has been formulated to have the grandeur and largesse of the street itself and also pay homage to the upcoming season by prominently featuring florals in its composition.
The top notes of Central Park West include narcissus, ylang ylang and pepper. The middle notes are orris, jasmine, linden and gardenia. The base comprises white oak, vetiver and musk.
Celebrating the neighborhood and the season, the Central Park West flacon takes Bond No. 9’s classic star-shaped bottle and decorates it with oversized houndstooth in a jazzy shade of purple. Wound around the bottles neck is a bracelet with pink beads and a big pink floral blossom, which can be removed and worn as an accessory.
Launching on March 15, the Central Park West lineup includes a 100ml bottle for $250, a 50ml bottle for $180, Body Silk cream for $130, a candle for $100 and Shower Gel for $75. The fragrance can be purchased at Bond No. 9’s five New York stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and www.bondno9.com.
