My skin is oily. Do I still need to use a moisturizer daily?
There is no law that states unequivocally that all skin needs a daily moisturizer. Areas prone to dryness need hydration, but oily areas don’t need as much or as often. The parts of your face that are prone to clogged pores and breakouts like the T-zone and chin may not need a moisturizer at all. Lighter formulas prevail for men or teens or oilier skin types that tend to be more greasy. If you have oily or blemish prone skin, stick to lighter gel and lotion formulas and only when your skin feels tight and dry. Avoid rich creamy formulas that can clog pores and cause more breakouts. Oily skin responds to salicylic acid, glycolic acid and lactic acid.
