The 1-1/2″ Titanium plates with ceramic heater are big enough to straighten quickly and effectively but still small enough to get to those tricky little face-framing hairs. Working in sections, I was able to straighten all of my thick, long hair in about 10 minutes with a fabulous outcome. The ion generating function left my hair soft and shiny. I love the quick adjusting temperature up to 450 degrees and digital display, and a swivel cord makes for easy maneuvering. Ionic ventilation holes make wet styling possible, but handle with care. By some weird force of habit I tend to grab the end of the flat iron with my free hand and definitely caught some steam coming from those holes. The BARBAR 2300 comes with a handy travel pouch befitting a flat iron that’s designed for universal use with 100V-240V and temperature display in Fahrenheit or Celsius. The automatic shut-off setting is a godsend on absentminded mornings.
FINAL VERDICT – GGI (GOTTA GET IT) – At $165, the BARBAR 2300 is a great investment. I did the math, and between money saved on blowouts and time saved styling my hair, this flat iron quickly pays for itself.
