Jenny from the Block can now be called Jenny from L’Oréal Paris as the multi-talented actress and recording star becomes the newest member of the cosmetic brand’s lineup of spokespeople. Jennifer Lopez will begin appearing in makeup and hair care advertising campaigns next year, the first of which will be for the EverSleek Sulfate-Free Smoothing System for hair.
“Having used L’Oreal Paris products most of my life, I’m excited to work with a brand that consistently offers a wide range of superior products that are attainable for women everywhere,” stated Ms.Lopez. “I’ve always loved their sophisticated ad campaigns and am thrilled to represent a brand that embraces a woman’s worth.”
A multi-platinum selling recording artist, Golden Globe nominated actress, film and television producer, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ms. Jopez is the newest judge to grace American Idol, and will release her latest album “Love?” in 2011.
This is not the first beauty partnership for J-Lo. As you may recall, she has a broadly distributed fragrance brand with Coty.
According to Cyril Chapuy, global brand president, L’Oréal Paris, Jennifer was selected for her charisma and commitment as well as her beauty.
She joins an extensive roster of spokespeople for the L’Oréal Paris brand, including Milla Jovovich, Beyoncé Knowles, Rachel Weisz, Evangeline Lilly, Diane Keaton, Andie MacDowell, Julianna Margulies, Eva Longoria Parker, Freida Pinto, Kerry Washington and Gerard Butler among others.
