Help. My lips are chapped all the time!

Dry, peeling lips need exfoliation to slough dead cells away. The next step is to follow with intense hydration 24/7.  Use an emollient lip balm with an SPF 15 instead of or under your lipstick – or choose a lip stick or gloss with SPF 15 included. Use a lip balm while you sleep too as lips can get more dehydrated during the night.  Keep lips coated as much as possible to build up the skin’s delicate protective barrier. Shea butter is a good ingredient to look for, sweet almond oil, wheat germ oil, vitamin E. Try not to lick your lips or bite away dead skin, which can cause bleeding and tears in delicate lip skin.
