“Founded in America in 1954, in France in 1986 and the UK in 1992, CEW, a trade organisation with a philanthropic arm, has pursued a mission of nurturing and recognising top executive talent – whilst raising money for their independent intiative ‘Cancer and Careers.’
The 600 strong membership of CEW (UK) includes executive women in the cosmetic, fragrance and hairdressing industries and related fields such as advertising, public relations, product development, marketing, media, finance, sales, retail, management and design and packaging. These women hold entry level, middle-management and senior management positions and all enjoy attending CEW’s events for the invaluable networking opportunities these events offer.

Celebritiy Events: The Duchess of York, Jasper Conran, Elle Macpherson, Elizabeth Hurley, Sarah Jessica Parker and Plum Sykes have taken the stage for us
Business Events: Including speakers, Bernd Beetz, CEO, Coty Inc., Tyler Brule, Publisher of ‘Monocle’ and a debate ‘Get Savvy about the Beauty Industry -Science or Science Fiction’
Women in Beauty Series Events: With Belinda Earl, CEO Jaeger, Wendy Lewis on’ Does the Facelift Need a Makeover’, Jo Fairley and Sarah Stacey on ‘Green Beauty -Organics and Naturals’
Networking events: ‘How to’ then ‘Let’s do’ Networking event and Shopping & Networking at Selfridges.
Mentoring Events: Programmes usually aimed at junior members. So far speakers have included: Emmanuelle Bonte, Global Vice President Marketing, Rimmel; Sharron Lowe who runs her own Business Development Agency and Mary-Ellen Field speaking on Intellectual Property Management.

Our star studded annual Achiever Awards in October, at which we honour outstanding women in our industry, is a must for everyone.
Beauty Awards:
In 2006, CEW (UK) introduced the Beauty Awards to recognise innovation and creativity in beauty products. Voted on by members over several categories comprising skincare, bodycare, makeup and fragrance, the winning products benefit from extensive media coverage and noticeable sales increases. Now in its third year, CEW increased the categories to 26, adding Best British Brand and Best Iconic Beauty Product amongst others.
