TELA BEAUTY ORGANICS BODY BUTTER – The jar promises an “extremely concentrated” product, and that’s just what I need. My skin tends towards dry, and between the parched winter air and a renewed love of swimming, I’ve got skin like the Sahara. I opened the jar with high hopes, and what I encountered was a fragrant, thick substance that’s more like custard than butter. All it took was one touch to confirm that this stuff is incredibly concentrated, and slathering it onto damp skin after a shower yields immediate and lasting effects.
The certified organic ingredients include shea, cocoa and cupaucu butters, coconut and jojoba oils, rice bran extract, lavender, aloe leaf juice, and green, white, and oolong teas. While many body moisturizers are too goopy and stinky for my liking, Tela Beauty Organics Body Butter feels and smells like pure luxury to me. My thirsty skin drinks it right up and the results look fantastic.
FINAL VERDICT – GGI (GOTTA GET IT) – Here in the snow belt, the best defense against the wintry elements is a big jar of super emollient moisturizer. This year I’m sticking with Tela Beauty Organics Body Butter. At $25 for a generous 5 ounces, it’s a hard-working indulgence.
