There’s everything to love about the tradition of opening up a little door, tiny drawer or paper packet and pulling out a piece of candy or other special trinket each of the 12-24 days leading up to Christmas, and there are some incredibly special advent calendars available right now that will shower you, your favorite hostess or someone you love with beauty treats. It’s certainly perfect timing for those stress-filled days when we can all use a little extra pampering, luxury and love. L’Occitane, Diptyque and Ciate London, as well as the other selections below, have everything I’d want, but if you want a little more diversity, you can also buy a beautiful Creative Co-op Calendar and fill it up with your own edible treats, sparkly trinkets and beauty goodies too.
You’ll find a variety of price points to please yourself and everyone on your list but know that beauty advent calendars always sell out extremely fast so if you don’t act quickly these will be gone before you can say Happy Holidays:
Charlotte Tilbury Limited Edition Charlotte’s World of Legendary Parties ($200) has 12 doors hiding a best-selling travel-sized beauty treat that’s just waiting to be unveiled. Will you open to reveal the Magic Cream, Kissing Lipstick in Penelope Pink, Wonderglow, Pocket Pout in Jessica Red, Legendary Lashes Mascara, Supermodel Body or some other surprise? No matter what door you open, you won’t be disappointed.
L’Occitane Advent Calendar ($55) comes with 24 exclusive skin care, bath, body and hand care gifts hidden behind 24 château doors. You’ll find fragrances, shower gels, shampoos, face and body lotions, soaps, hand creams and more in a variety of out-of-this-world formulas and scents.
Diptyque Paris 2016 Advent Calendar ($390) is chock-full of the iconic beauty brand’s fragrance, candles, skincare and more. Talk about decadent!
Target 12 Days of Beauty Faves ($25) includes 12 different product types from 12 different major brands. You’ll get everything from a detoxing kale and coconut face wash from Pacifica to a brightening complexion toner from Pixi by Petra to an anti-aging face cream from Acure to a Kabuki makeup brush from Ecotools, plus hair products, bath treats and much, much more.
Ciate London Mini Mani Month Nail Polish Set ($59) has a $215 value but can be yours for a fraction of that cost and enjoyed before, during and after the holidays for a long, long time. This nail polish advent calendar comes with 18 mini-size polishes, two toppers, two treatments a full-size polish and nail file, all individually packaged in little boxes inside.
Benefit Girl O’Clock Rock Mini Bestsellers Set ($45) gives you 12 days of beauty booty to open. Along with some of your favorite staples you’ll definitely discover some new makeup and skincare must-haves that will help you have a happy holiday indeed.
If you’d rather go the do-it-yourself route, you’ll have fun customizing one with small and special treasures as well as mini-sized and sample-sized beauty products. I’m crazy about Creative Co-op’s Wooden House Advent Calendar ($69.99) but you can also rig up something yourself by numbering and decorating small paper bags and hanging them on your tree or placing them atop your mantel.
NOTE: L’Occitane and Target were sent for review. Others were checked out in store. Opinions are my own.
