Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunblock SPF 60+ –As religious as I am about wearing sunblock, I’m even more devout about shielding my baby from the sun’s harmful rays.  Try imparting that urgency to an 11 month old. My otherwise easygoing boy would shriek in agony every time we tried to slather on the SPF that left him a white, greasy, cranky mess.  We speculated that it irritated his skin, a theory that was confirmed when I tried Neutrogena’s Pure & Free Baby product line.  No fuss.  Brilliant.  Effortless application.  Love it.  The consistency of the lotion is a little thinner than the other baby brands, which means no drag or rigorous rubbing on sensitive little bodies.

The stick goes on with the same ease, and the form factor is great.  Smaller than a teeny cell phone, I can fit it into the front pocket of my jeans or toss it into the diaper bag without fear of a messy leak.  At just over 1″ wide it is perfect for quick and thorough coverage, especially on his sweet face and darling ears.  There aren’t many things in my son’s skincare arsenal that I would use on myself, but we have both been wearing the lotion on our morning jogs, and I frequently take a swipe of the stick on a sensitive scar that needs extra protection from the sun.  It has everything I want for my kid and for myself; it’s hypoallergenic, oil-free and PABA-free, fragrance-free, waterproof and sweatproof.  The lotion and stick have both become fixtures in our morning routine.

FINAL VERDICT – BOB (BEAUTY ON A BUDGET) – At $10.99 for the lotion and and $8.99 for the stick, both formats of Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunblock SPF 60+ are keepers.
