What does Miss America, Italian nibbles and facials have in common? They were all elements of a press launch sponsored by Artistry for its new Intensive Skincare Renewing Peel and Crème LuXury, held in New York City last month. After meeting the charming Teresa Scanlan, Miss America 2011, who hails from Gering, Nebraska, visiting editors and bloggers were given the opportunity to experience the new Renewing Peel.
Formulated to deliver benefits similar to a professional chemical peel, Artistry’s Renewing Peel ($99.50) left my skin feeling softer and smoother while looking more radiant in just eight minutes – without the accompanying pain or tingle as so often happens with a professional peel. It’s a one step application that uses a mushroom enzyme to exfoliate the skin and promote natural cellular turnover.
According to the company, a very unique aspect of the peel is that it is self regulating – that is, it adjusts to each person’s skin and knows when to turn itself off, so there is no risk of over-exfoliating.
At the event, the peel was followed up by application of Crème LuXury, an age-reversal formulation said to make skin act 15 years younger. It works by energizing the skin with Cardiolipin, a lipid that is so rare, it’s said to be worth 30 times its weight in gold. Again, this is a true luxury product, with a luxury price point – Crème Luxury is priced at $340 for 1.5 oz.
